What is a rendezvous?
Rendezvous [rahn-duh-voo, rahn-dey-voo] noun

Rendezvous is a French word meaning a predetermined place and time for meeting. It had much greater meaning to the trappers and traders of the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

Why would I need a Speed Dating service?
First Rendezvous provides a more personal and organized approach to the whole dating process. Online dating services may require days upon days before given the opportunity to be matched with someone and meet in person. First Rendezvous' Speed Dating Service will be able to match you up instantly according to your experience during one of our events. In the unfortunate occasion you do not find a connection during one of our events, you can attend another First Rendezvous and try again.
How does the process work?

All transactions are processed through PayPal's Online Merchant Services. Please review the PayPal section on our policies page for complete details.
You will receive a confirmation email consisting of important details once your membership information is received and processed. Upon completing the payment transaction through PayPal, you will receive an additional email including your invoice. Please keep both documents for future reference.
Each event will begin promptly on schedule. Please do not be late. We recommend arriving no earlier than 15 minutes prior to the scheduled event. We will begin with a brief summary of our policies leading up to a short “meet-n-greet”.
All ladies will take a seat either at their own table or side by side at a distance from one another. Once in position, the gentlemen will be asked to take their seat across from the ladies and introduce themselves. An audible signal will initiate the speed dating round. You will have the opportunity to visit and ask questions with each other for a pre-determined amount of time (usually ranging from 5 - 8 minutes). During this time, we encourage you to be attentive as possible and ask whatever pre-determined questions you may have in mind. Please do not offer any personal contact information during any of the rounds. At the end of each round, another audible signal will instruct the gentlemen to exit their seat. Both parties will have 1 minute to compose any notes they may want to use for future reference. The next round begins as the gentlemen rotate to the next table and introduce themselves accordingly. This process repeats and allows each gentleman to meet all the available ladies. Every effort will be taken to make sure there is an even number of ladies and gentlemen.
At the conclusion of all the rounds, each member will have 10 minutes to finalize their notes and determine which individuals (if any) they would like to meet on a more personal level. We would suggest organizing names in order of ratings. Place the individual you like best at the top of the list. If two people place either other at the top of their lists, they will be the first to be matched. If your top choice has already been matched with another individual, we will follow your list in succession until a match has been made.
The top results will be submitted to each corresponding party within 24 hours by phone or email. A more comprehensive list of results will soon follow. This process allows each party to be notified immediately of any matchmaking connections. The more comprehensive list will contain any secondary matches. Upon receiving these lists, we recommend contacting each other at your convenience for any future plans. First Rendezvous is very interested in your dating progress at the conclusion of the speed dating event. Please feel free to contact us with details of your date(s).
